Although I miss Green Truck Pub, Sol, Sweet Potatoes, the Gwinnett Street Kroger’s baking and condiment aisle and my kitchen in Savannah like whoa, I have been cooking and eating great food in Minneapolis.
Yellow rice, black beans, cornbread, collards and butterscotch pudding from Brasa; if the president could have this catered in to peace discussions, let me tell you, things would start happening.
An apricot soleil from Rustica, voted one of the best bakeries in ‘Murrica by Bon Appetit. This place defies the laws of pastry physics to get the astonishing amount of flaky layers that are in this creation.
Other unphotographed highlights include:
- An ahi tuna burger at yum! Kitchen and Bakery
- Steak tacos in of all places White Bear Lake, MN at Washington Square Bar and Grill
- Honey ice cream at the Linden Hill’s Sebastian Joe’s.
Hopefully during my boyfriend’s summer visit, I will remember to discreetly pull out my phone before I dig in at (wishing fingers crossed) Tilia, Bar La Grassa, Sea Salt Eatery and Black Sheep Pizza (home of the best damn pizza ever according to my father).
